Questions

Questions

How far in advance should I show up for the tour?

The bus will be in position 10-15 minutes before the tour and seats are first come first serve!

Are pets allowed on the tour bus?

Pets are allowed only for private tours, and they are not allowed on the seats unless they are in the lap of the owner. Padded rubber mats can be supplied for the dogs comfort and are ALWAYS washed between every use.

Should I eat before the tour?

You can eat, but there will be a stop at a local fish market, another stop where there will be takeout food available, and a store where there are sandwiches as well as other snacks and healthy options!

Will there be bottled waters provided?

Yes! Water will be provided in a reusable, BPA free, bottle enhanced with electrolytes!

How many times do we get off the bus?

There will be 2 scheduled stops on the tour. One in the town of Menemsha, which is the oldest working fishing village in New England, where we will get to try the local seafood. There will be a second stop at the Aquinnah Cliffs, where there will be Native American owned stores, and a lighthouse that was made from clay from the very cliffs it stands on. There will also be a potential 3rd stop (time and parking permitting) at a Wampanoag bakery with a large stone pizza oven. Bathrooms are available at all stops!

What makes us different than other companies?

Our tour is given by a 4th generation local, and our bus provides a luxurious experience with ample space for each passenger as well as optimal visibility for all the sights. Reusable bottled waters are provided free of cost, as well as rain ponchos for inclement weather. We have a crisp, high quality sound system to ensure everyone can hear the information, as well as a screen on the bus to provide visuals of what certain areas used to look like.

What type of vehicle do we take the tour in?

The vehicle is a 14 passenger bus, which provides a small group personal feel. Each seat on the bus is a reclining leather seat, which makes it easy to wipe down the seats in between tours, making it the most sanitary vehicle on the road! The bus is cleaned in between tours and occasionally cleaned on stops to ensure pristine condition.

Are children allowed on your tours?

The tour is for children and adults 9 and up. We can accomodate younger children on private tours.
